How Do I Uninstall previous BitDefender Products?

You can uninstall your security solution from the Windows Control Panel (Add or Remove programs in Windows XP or Uninstall a program under Programs in Windows Vista and Windows 7).

1. Select BitDefender 2008, 2009 or 2010 and click Remove in Windows XP or Uninstall in Windows 7 or Vista.
2. You can also uninstall BitDefender by selecting Repair or Remove from the Programs, BitDefender menu or
3. by using the BitDefender uninstall tool available on the BitDefender site. When downloading the uninstall tool, please save the file on your computer. After downloading the uninstall tool, please double click it. The files will be extracted and the execution window will be displayed. Click the uninstall button. BitDefender provides a status for each type of file or registry key that is being removed from the system. At the end of the process, you will be notified that a system reboot is necessary.
